Anker has designed a new 65W charger that’s slim enough to fit between larger power adapters on a power strip, potentially making crowded outlets useable again.

While thin chargers are not new, they usually feature folding prongs on the flat side to sit flush against walls. Anker’s innovation positions the folding prongs on the end, utilizing the thin design differently.

Anker follows the Nomad Slim 65W charger by releasing an even thinner build.

Anker recently announced new additions to its Prime lineup of chargers, and although this slim charger is part of that collection, it’s currently only listed on Anker Japan’s website for a winter 2024 release at ¥6,990 (around $47 USD). It shares up to 65W of power between two USB-C ports. A Japanese news outlet demonstrated the charger’s folding prongs in a video shared to X.

The prongs can also rotate side to side, allowing the charger to be used in wall outlets without unplugging itself due to its weight. This design improvement addresses issues found in older Anker chargers, which the company recently tackled with a redesigned 100W compact charger featuring thicker prongs and a better center of balance.
